    Archives Unbound offers online access to primary source materials covering a vast array of topics of importance to U.S. and California history. With more than 290 archives and over 14 million pages available, California public library users have access to world class digital materials as a part of their public library’s permanent collection.

    The California State Library is pleased to offer the New York Times online to California public libraries! This offer features direct access to from 1851 to right now, including:

    • All regular newspaper content (articles, editorials, etc.)
    • All multimedia, including video, photography, VR features, and all new multimedia to come
    • Spanish and Mandarin Chinese versions of
    • Personalized access, including e-mail newsletters such as California Today, mobile apps* for phones and tablets, with customizable news feeds, and article recommendations based on topics you most commonly read about.

    Toucan Valley Social Studies Fact Cards
    The Social Studies Fact Cards are a series of research resources designed for quick reference for students in grades 4 through 8. The topics covered by Fact Cards are those California, United States, and World topics included in the social studies curriculum in California. For the past ten years, Fact Cards have been used extensively as ready reference sources in California elementary and middle schools, as well as in public libraries.

    Tuition Funding Resources
    Tuition Funding Sources is a website designed to help students find scholarships, college and career information. TFS offers students the largest scholarship database in the world with over $41 Billion in scholarship awards along with a career personality test and detailed college and career information. Assistance information includes: Scholarships, College Search, Career Guidance, Financial Aid Info, Online Degrees, and Student Loans. TFS has been helping students find scholarships and other sources of financial aid for more than 20 years.


    NoveList is a fiction database that allows you to search for additional titles based on level, subject, title or author and provides reviews, annotations, and much more. There are now over 150,000 fiction titles, and over 4000 custom created articles and lists. NoveList features reading lists, annotated book lists, book discussion guides, BookTalks and more. You can use NoveList to search for fiction books that are like your favorites or are in a similar style to your favorite fiction author.
